THE HOUSTON MUSEUM OF NATURAL SCIENCE

THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS
This museum ranks as one of the largest and most outstanding museums of its kind in the Southwest. With 37,000 works including masterpieces of international significance, the Museum’s permanent collection celebrates 6,000 years of creativity.

More than one million visitors pass through the halls of the Museum annually to view the work of 19th and 20th century artists on display. The Caroline Wiess Law Building serves as home to major exhibitions and installations highlighting the MFAH collection. Installations showcasing African gold and the art of Sub-Saharan Africa, stunning examples of Asian, Oceanic, Native American, and masterworks of contemporary art are recent additions.

Across the street from the Museum is the Lillie and Hugh Roy Cullen Sculpture Garden. The garden was designed as a special place for visitors to contemplate the sculpture of some of the 19th and 20th century’s preeminent artists.
